Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival

Im November reisen Lotte Dorner, Konstantin Marx und Emilia Pegler von der BJF-Jugend Filmjury nach Finnland zum 45. Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival, das vom 7. bis 15. November 2026 stattfindet.

Gemeinsam mit Benjamin Härkönen, Milla Lyytinen, Caroliina Tennivaara und Kaisla Pitkälä vom finnischen Bildungsverbund OSAO bilden sie die Jugendjury des Festivals und vergeben den Global Future Prize für den besten Film im Jugendfilm-Wettbewerb.

 

Die Reise ist Teil des Jugendaustauschs „Oulu–Berlin“, einer Kooperation des BJF und der BJF-Jugend Filmjury mit dem Oulu Festival, dem Finnland-Institut und OSAO. Im Februar 2027 geht es weiter: Dann sind die drei gemeinsam mit Benjamin, Milla und Caroliina auf der Berlinale und berichten als Teil der Freien Generation Reporter:innen (FGR) über die Sektion Generation. Zur Vorbereitung besuchen sie einen dreiteiligen Workshop zum Schreiben von Filmkritiken.

In November, Lotte Dorner, Konstantin Marx and Emilia Pegler from the BJF-Jugend Filmjury (Youth Film Jury) are travelling to Finland for the 45th Oulu International Children’s and Youth Film Festival, which takes place from 7 to 15 November 2026.

Together with Benjamin Härkönen, Milla Lyytinen, Caroliina Tennivaara and Kaisla Pitkälä from the Finnish Educational Consortium OSAO, they will form the festival’s Youth Jury and award the Global Future Prize for the best film in the Youth Film Competition.

 

The trip is part of the Youth Exchange “Oulu–Berlin”, a collaboration between the BJF (German Federation of Film Clubs for Children and Young People), the BJF-Jugend Filmjury, the Oulu Festival, Finnland-Institut and OSAO. The exchange continues in February 2027: the three will attend the Berlinale together with Benjamin, Milla and Caroliina, reporting on the Generation section as part of the Free Generation Reporters (FGR). To prepare, they are taking part in a three-part workshop on writing film reviews.
